This blog started with my move to Istanbul in 2014 when I took my first international teaching job in Istanbul, Turkey. It was a slow start, this blog, as I had no habit of writing apart from my journal. You may find that many of my posts are written much like a journal for that very reason, but as time goes on, I do hope this is helpful to other travelers, in particular solo travelers on a limited schedule. As a teacher, my vacation times are determined for me and most of my trips are a week at a time.

I’ve now been to 53 countries, some of which I have revisited. My blog consists, so far, of only places I have visited since moving to Istanbul, but I do hope to someday include posts of my memories prior to this move.
